It took me forever to become brave enough to leave my house and go to the hairdresser and get my bangs. I’ve been thinking about them for such a long time, but I was afraid of my face looking wider, or to accentuate its square shape, and to look dumb. However, it got to a point when I was really craving a change and decided to face my fear.
I bravely went to Hello Beautiful, not just because it’s close to my house but also because I know they rock. The owner Rebecca did my hair and she made me feel so comfortable, which made a huge difference during the process and afterwards. She understood that I was afraid of the change and patiently cut my bangs a little bit at a time, so it could be at the exact length I wanted. She nailed it!
I am not going to lie: having bangs is not super easy. I spend a few extra minutes drying my hair and styling my bangs, and I’ve also become bff with my dry shampoo. But it’s totally worth it! I absolutely love how it looks and the change is so rejuvenating!
So if you have been thinking about doing a change on how you look, my advice is to honestly listen to your proportions to see what can work for you, and then find a good professional who can help you achieve the results you are looking for. However, don’t let the fear stop you from taking risks, YOLO!
