West Village is one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC. If I could choose a place to live in the city, regardless of the fact that I have to pay for it, I would choose West Village.
What I love the most about the area is that its very conveniently close to everything, but at the same time it is still a calm and chill place. I also love the little streets with brown houses, and I specially love the fact that it is such a gay friendly neighborhood. I feel pretty comfortable walking with my girlfriend Lindsey holding hands in most of the places in NYC, but in the West Village I feel more welcomed, and somehow more "normal" since there are so many other gay couples around us.
Unfortunately rent is very expensive in WV, so let me stop dreaming about my 3 bedrooms apartment for now and start talking about my outfit:
I'm starting to slightly change the way I dress. I don't really know why, but lately I have been feeling more inclined to clothes that are more like "adultish" but still stylish. I just feel like some clothes I used to love as a teenager, don't really match to who I am now. One of the pieces I want to start wearing more next year are the culottes. I just think they are damn cute, and I feel more put together when I wear them because I am usually wearing jeans. And they are great with crop tops, which if you know me, you know how I feel about them.
I wore this outfit when I was heading to happy hour at Agave (Mexican restaurant in the WV that serves $2 appetizers and $6 frozen margaritas during happy hour. Ps: you must try the mango frozen margarita), and I think that the black and white outfit + red lipstick + heels, was simple but still polished for some cocktails.
Let me know how you feel about culottes! I am really curious to know if I am the only one who thinks that they are amazing, and will be playing a strong game next year. Maybe we can grab some margaritas and have a talk about the trends for 2016.
